Planning our Italy adventure

Big plans to criss cross through the country. We start in the south and then we’ll lace up the boot. In the end we have a year to explore Italy. And with winter coming we thought to start in the very south.

Well as these things go, life generally interrupts plans made in advance.

After two years it now looks like we could maybe spent the holidays as a family together, but to make that happen we need to stay further up north. In the end the girls have to come from Switzerland and the UK. Ideally both by car so the dogs can join us too.

Of course as a good mother hen I wouldn't miss this opportunity for anything in the world, and plans are there to be changed. At least in my view.

So instead of immediately driving all the way down towards Lecce, we look for a place drivable from both the UK and Switzerland and settle for the Ligurian coast.

We’ll leave Switzerland next week, go there and then have a look around for an apartment until the middle or end of January. Adventurous? Yeah maybe, but it is the way we’re used to travel for over 40 year together now, so why change??😉

I am sure once there I’ll find something and after Christmas I’ll have plenty of time to figure out our next moves.
