Pontecagnano
Traveling from Terracino to Pontecagnano, I decide to combine the provincial road with partly motorway. It’s a great drive.
I have booked a room at Agriturismo Terre delle Monache, in Pontecagnano.
What a warm welcome.
It is four o'clock when I arrive. The hostess is Cuban, called Nely, and speaks excellent Italian with a Spanish accent. 😉😂
Too bad there are no other guests apart from a group of businessmen. But the restaurant is open, which is very nice for a first evening.
I am very curious. I start with a salad, then 3 pieces of fried cod with cheese sauce and for dessert espresso with a glass of limoncello. Great!
Off to a nice bed as I have to be fit tomorrow morning to visit the Accademia Leonardo to enrol in Italian language class. How going back to school at 70+ works out, is what I am about to experience. More about that in a next blog.
