Very interesting. The farm is run completely organic, growing their own fodder for the animals, but also grains for their fresh home made breads and the vegetables used in the restaurant.

Much attention is paid to the animal welfare, combining the tradition of pampering the animals with showers, brushes and music with the modern milking robot so the animals can choose their own milking times.

The mozzarella is completely made by hand and they also make ricotta, stracciatella, yoghurt, butter, ice cream and chocolate, using their buffalo milk. DELICIOUS 😋.

In their restaurant you can eat all kinds of delicious and fun dishes in which their products are integrated.

There is also a small museum displaying tools and equipment for daily use in rural life from various periods, Of course they show how the cheese used to be processed but also the wider picture of rural life.

Nowadays, of course, much has been modernised. But there is still a lot of handiwork! The skins of the buffalo are still being processed based on traditional methods of vegetable tanning. And then worked by the hands of their skilled crafts people that turn the skins into beautiful bags, purses and shoes that you can buy on the spot.

I can really recommend this trip but it can be very busy on weekends.
