Christmas shopping in Albissola is an amazing old fashioned adventure.

Aubergines are my absolute favourite vegetable when cooking vegetarian dishes. They are very versatile, have a nice bite and can handle seasoning very well. This stew has aubergine as the base with lots of different spices

With the holiday season around the corner I chose for a bit more luxurious recipe for this month: Scallops with potato, sesame, lemon and salmon caviar.

Big plans to criss cross through the country. We start in the south and then we’ll lace up the boot. In the end we have a year to explore Italy. And with winter coming we thought to start in the very south.

Celeriac is cultivated since ancient times and even mentioned in the famous Greek works Iliad and Odyssey. Over time it became a largely forgotten vegetable though.

So let us rehabilitate it with my delicious stuffed celeriac recipe.
