Hi, I am Charlotte,
Together with my daughter Émely, we have a coaching business all about YUMMY HEALTHY FOOD. We’re also the 5th & 6th generation female chefs in the family and above all passionate food lovers. Fresh ingredients, healthy cooking and quality time with family and friends around the dining table are our core values in life and in our mentoring work.
And below you find my blog, a collection of what happens in my life, ingredients I love, recipes I design and general food or wining & dining experiences gained on my travels mainly through Italy.
Besides reading my blogs you can contact me per email or follow our Instagram account or Facebook page, both about yummy healthy food.
Meeting new friends
Nothing better in life than meeting new people, sharing drinks and food together and walking away with new friends.
On the road to Basilicata!
Maratea, beautiful little town. The first settlements in the Maratea region date back to the Paleolithic era. And since the 15th–14th century BC the village is small trading center. Nowadays mainly known for the big statue of Christ, built of pure Carrara marble in 1965 by Bruno Innocenti, a sculptor from Florence.
Vietri sul Mare
For my last visit in the region on the Amalfi Coast, I visit Vietri sul Mare.
This is a very cute little town with a nice harbour and the best fish preserving companies in Italy.
Here you can buy seasonally preserved glass fish, but they also have the best fish sauce there is.
Organic Mozzerella Farm
Much attention is paid to the animal welfare, combining the tradition of pampering the animals with showers, brushes and music with the modern milking robot so the animals can choose their own milking times.
Referring back to my camping life story ⛺️,
“The older the crazier”, we say in Dutch and rightfully so. Honestly I had to grow 70+ years old to rediscover camping and actually liking it.
Chicken poached in spiced milk
If you like chicken and spices you should absolutely try this recipe … yummy
My last week of school
Sad to say goodbye to school. I had a great time, learned a lot and it was absolutely fabulous to even teach something I know best: cooking
Il Centro Storico di Salerno
I scream, you scream, who doesn’t like Ice Cream? Anyhow I LOVE Italian Gelato
At the campsite 😳
You say WHAT??? Charlotte at the campsite, can’t be!! Well it’s true, but we rented a bungalow not a tent.
Pitigliano
What a picturesque old town. Bit dangerous living on the edge of the abyss 😳Fortunately, I understand that most of the houses still standing are safe. The houses that are wobbly are empty. Jeez just imagine living like this. I am a little dubious.
